TORUS is a cross-disciplinary nexus for contemporary creative culture, presenting a dynamic program of exhibitions, concerts, screenings, social events and more. TORUS believes in creative cross-pollination and aims to reflect the interpenetration and mutual influence of the visual, sonic, cinematic, sartorial, linguistic and design arts. TORUS believes in the capacity for the arts to expand consciousness, deepen the mystery, and reflect the complexities of our being. TORUS strives to cultivate a creative ecosystem and social community, a melting pot of avant-garde culture that is at once comprehensive and carefully curated. TORUS proffers engagements with the sublime, noetic and numinous experiences for the mind, body and spirit.
TORUS also collaborates with artists and designers to produce limited edition publications, physical music releases, apparel, objects and more for TORUS EDITIONS.

TORUS began as Hunter Shaw Fine Art in 2016. Initially, HSFA focused on private sales and nomadic exhibitions, producing several shows per year at temporary locations in Los Angeles, CA and Aspen, CO. In November 2018, HSFA opened a brick and mortar gallery in Mid-City Los Angeles, presenting an ambitious year-round exhibition program of emerging and historic artists. In 2020 HSFA joined the New Art Dealers Association, and over the next few years exhibited repeatedly at NADA’s art fairs in Miami and New York City. In January 2024, shortly after celebrating its five year anniversary, HSFA became TORUS, expanding the scope of programming to include a wider array of creative modalities.
